A visit and guided tour are possible almost every day of the year, subject to an advance booking. The fort is closed on Mondays and on a number of (public) holidays. A minimum fee applies for reserved visits.

Visit and guided tour interior for primary schools

  • The minimum admission, for a group of 15 children, is €60. A fee of €4 will be charged for every additional participant.
  • Two companions shall accompany every guide.
  • Programme: (the programme can be adapted)
    • the history of the fort and the story of the attack on the fort
    • the barracks
    • short walk through the underground galleries and visit of the entrance of the casemate where a heavy explosion took place
    • the museum

  • The minimum admission, for a group of 15 children, is €80. A fee of €4 will be charged for every additional participant.
  • An additional guide will be provided as of 31 children and for every additional 30 children. The total price will be increased by €20 for every additional guide.
  • Two companions shall accompany every guide.
  • Programme: (the programme can be adapted)
    • the history of the fort and the story of the attack on the fort
    • the barracks
    • short walk through the underground galleries and visit of the entrance of the casemate where a heavy explosion took place
    • the museum
    • short walk around the outside of the fort and, if possible, short visit to the upper plateau
  • Clothes that are adapted to the weather conditions are required
